Church Activation, Renewal and Equipping
CARE - Revitalisation Grant
The suburbs and towns of Australia are experiencing unprecedented change fuelled by population growth, ageing demographics, economics, logistics, property prices and cultural influences.
These factors are impacting on church attendance and churches ability to attract people. Public perception of religion has also experienced much negative press of late, diminishing the value of its teachings and influence.
As a result of these pressures and other mitigating factors some of our churches have suffered declines in attendance placing their viability at risk.
The CARE - Revitalisation Grant is to co-fund and support the revitalisation of a member church that is currently experiencing difficulty meeting the payroll costs of its Pastor and where the continued employment of the Pastor is deemed vital for the revitalisation of the church or the church could better serve the Kingdom, assembly and community if it employed a Pastor.
The grant is available subject to the criteria outlined in the CARE - Revitalisation Guideline - attached.
Attached is a paper written by David Wraight which details metrics which are indicative of a healthy church serving the needs of its community.
