At Warragul North Primary School we provide a happy, caring, learning environment where children can achieve their potential. The School's moto is "Together We Learn" reflects the important partnership between students, parents and staff. At Warragul North Primary School the personal development of children is paramount. Children work within a secure and caring environment to develop attitudes of co-operation, tolerance and responsibility. Courtesy and respect between all members of the school community is expected. These core values create a happy school where students pursue personal excellence in all aspects of the curriculum.

The key learning areas as outlined in the Victorian Curriculum form the basis of the comprehensive curriculum offered to students at Warragul North Primary School. Special emphasis is placed on literacy and numeracy skills, and the development of students as effective communicators. Our curriculum is enhanced by the many extra curricula activities that children can participate in such as School Production, Chess Club, Choir (Warblers and Choristers) and Tournament of Minds.

Our school boasts a purpose built music room, art room and gymnasium. We have an excellent administration building which encompasses our library, state of the art computer laboratory, office area, sickbay, staffroom, canteen and several meeting rooms. We have three main classroom wings divided into Senior, Junior and Foundation (Prep). We are very excited about our newest building project which was completed during 2011, our Prep Learning Centre. It is a three million dollar complex made up of six classrooms and various other areas and is the home of our Foundation (Prep) children. The attractive grounds at Warragul North Primary School are a feature of our school, and are well maintained at all times. The main features of the grounds include an oval, ‘Tiger Turf’ basketball and netball courts, four areas of specialised play equipment, and also areas for passive recreation. The provision of outdoor shelters, extensive tree and shrub planting, combined with artificial lawn areas, paving and seating, have further enhanced the playground environment. Warragul North Primary School really is a happening place!

Warragul North Primary School is fortunate to have Sheryn Cutler [pictured] as our school chaplain as a part of our wellbeing team. Sheryn is funded through the Australian Government’s National School Chaplaincy Program.

Chaplaincy is a unique service that is of great value to our students, staff and parents, offering care, building the social skills of students, and encouraging responsible behaviour amongst our young people. Our Chaplain works as an integral part of our staff and student wellbeing team. Each year our School Council seeks feedback from our school community in order to enable us to review and confirm support for the program.

We also maintain a risk management plan which is reviewed annually. School procedures are followed for parents and students to seek referral.
