Introduction to KIDS HOPE AUS
KIDS HOPE AUS is the largest early intervention, school-based mentoring program in Australia. The program aims to develop emotional and social resilience in children, thereby enhancing their capacity to learn. Carefully screened and trained mentors meet with children one-to-one for an hour per week at school. More than 10,000 children have been matched with mentors in primary schools all around Australia and we know the results can change lives. Our evidence is based upon external evaluations conducted by both Monash and Griffith Universities. Teachers love KIDS HOPE AUS, in fact 99.5% of teachers surveyed recommend KIDS HOPE AUS for other students. (Monash University 2018)

Emma began school traumatised and refusing to speak despite efforts of specialists. After 6 months a KIDS HOPE mentor arrived and shared an activity from her training. Amazingly Emma responded with words, she spoke for the first time! It seemed that one hour with one child had made all the difference!
