Roy Savage

                                    Roy A. Savage Dip.T., B.Ed.
                                            
Roy was raised in a Brethren Assembly at Katoomba NSW. He came to know Christ under the preaching of his dad was an elder in that assembly. Graduating from High School he moved to Newcastle to train as an Industrial Arts teacher and attended the Adamstown Gospel Chapel. He is an Educator now with more than forty years teaching experience and has been involved in Christian Education for the last 30 years. He was School Principal for ten years at Maranatha Christian School in Adelaide, South Australia and Head of Campus at Seabrook Christian School in Hobart. He served two consecutive three-year terms as a councillor on the Australian Association of Christian Schools. He has held several different executive and board positions in his local church and para-church ministries in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and now Tasmania. He served as an elder at Mt Druitt Village Chapel in Sydney’s western suburbs and at Maranatha Christian Assembly in Adelaide, South Australia. Roy’s current local assembly is Midway Point Christian Fellowship, near Hobart in Tasmania where he serves as the Chairman of Elders and is a preacher and worship leader.
 
For almost 15 years he fellowshipped at Grovely Christian Community Church in Brisbane and during that time worked for Southern Cross Educational Enterprises as the Manager of the Schools Services Department. This resulted in teaching and preaching at staff training, educators’ conferences, churches and Christian Schools in many different locations around Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and other South Pacific nations as well as Indonesia. He has also preached at International Student Events in England, South Africa and China. He was the instigator of a volunteer service group called His Servants 24/7 Squad, which serve at the ACE International Student Convention in the USA and at most other A.C.E. Student Conventions around the world. He has also preached in many different assemblies and assembly camps in NSW, SA, QLD and Tasmania.
 
The vision and sacrifice for living life 24 hours a day seven days a week for Christ (1L2474C) is shared by his wife Sue, who has always fully supported his call to ministry during their married life of more than 40 years. They have two adult children and two grandsons.

Roy is willing to travel interstate and international to serve the Lord by inspiring the Lord’s people and preaching the Gospel.
